Warranty and data policy
The short version: six months on repairs, twelve on batteries, and we don't look at your data.
What the warranty covers
Screens, ports, cameras, keyboards and every other part we fit come with a six month warranty on the part and the labour. Batteries get twelve months. If the same fault comes back, bring the device and the ticket number and we repair it again for free.
The warranty doesn't cover:
- new cracks, dents or other physical damage after the repair;
- liquid damage that happened after the repair;
- repairs another shop has done on the same part since our visit;
- water damage treatment, because corrosion can keep spreading after cleaning.
Original and aftermarket parts
We fit original parts where manufacturers sell them to independent shops. For older models you can choose a certified aftermarket screen, which is 20 to 30 percent cheaper. Both carry the same warranty. On iPhones a non-original screen shows a notice in Settings. It works normally, but we tell you before the repair so you can decide.
We can't repair Face ID modules. Apple pairs them to the phone's board, so only Apple can replace them. We can still check what's wrong and tell you what Apple is likely to charge.
Your data
Most screen and battery repairs don't need your passcode. For faults where the phone doesn't start properly we may ask for it to test the device, and you can change it after pickup. We never copy, open or keep personal files. Please back up your device before you bring it in, especially for water damage and board repairs.
Payment
You pay when you pick the device up: card, MB Way or cash. Companies can open a business account and get one invoice a month with VAT. Ask at the counter or write to hello@ohmsolder.example.
Devices left with us
We keep repaired devices for 60 days after we tell you they're ready. After that we send a reminder and keep the device for 30 more days.
